Sister Leah Hockenberry – Kindergarten Supervisor

Hi, my name is Leah and I’m third generation FICC born and raised in the church under the teachings of my grandfather and father. I love the Lord with all my heart and feel abundantly blessed to be called to this sacred position of teaching children not just their ABC’s and 1-2-3’s but to love the Lord with all their hearts as well! I am a wife and mother to two incredible boys who are my pride and joy. I love to spend time with my family and love my church. I have been a part of FCA since 2023 and have been blessed beyond what I could ever have asked, thought, or imagined by the students and staff at FCA. The culture is love and I can’t say enough the difference that makes in my day to day. I love having the opportunity every day to bless my students the same way they bless me. Being a part of a school family like FCA has been a dream. FCA prioritizes excellent in every aspect. Academically, the student body as a whole it is quite impressive, FCA set the bar high and our students soar with confidence. Having God as #1 in all we do is the game changer. As a mother and as a classroom supervisor seeing first hand God’s plan in action has given me great hope for our youth. God is good and he’s still on the throne at FCA, that’s what I love the most.

As a kindergarten classroom supervisor, I could share endless stories, memories, and laughs. The kids are the best! One of my favorite memories that gave me a laugh was of the time I asked my kindergartners if they would like to say their scripture memory passage the school body has been practicing daily during the Chapel. Four of my kindergartens confidently raised their hands, three impressively recited the passage and the 4th says “Philippians 4:6 – 7 Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation to the Republic with liberty and justice for all.” A+ for effort but unfortunately, he may have needed a little more practice!
